About This Track

‘rendezvous’ by Khalid is a 2025 pop track from the album ‘after the sun goes down’. The lyrics frame a flirtatious late-night call, with the speaker urging someone to answer, then promising a playful kind of escalation, including the wish to “make mistakes and then make ’em twice”. It has the momentum of a plan made in real time: checking phones, asking for movement, and chasing a moment of mutual attention. The refrain of rendezvous gives the whole thing its simple, purposeful hook.

"rendezvous" is a track by Khalid, from the album after the sun goes down, released 9th October 2025. The track is 3:06 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 3 articles about Khalid.

Lyrics

rendezvous

Rendezvous
Take your phone off silent while I FaceTime you
Rock (with me) with me
You could be my everythin', that's on everythin'

Turn around, I'm tryna see behind that
Yeah, you know just how I like that
Rendezvous
Come slide through

Can we make mistakes and then make 'em twice?
All these bad decisions shouldn't feel this right
Can we reconvene and then wonder why?
Can we go all week and go one more night?

If you want it, I want it, let's do this
'Cause I'm over the borin' excuses
Send the ETA when you catch the flight
Oh-yeah, keep the pace with my hands on your waist

And my, my patience
Is runnin' so thin
So let yourself in

Rendezvous
Take your phone off silent while I FaceTime you
Rock (with me) with me
You could be my everythin', that's on everythin'

Turn around, I'm tryna see behind that
Yeah, you know just how I like that
Rendezvous
Come slide through

I know you want me, you feelin' naughty, you can't hide that
Ride me like autobahns, be on autopilot (oh)
Gnarly, chiefin' Marley on an island
Party inside my bedroom and you're invited

And my, my patience
Is runnin' so thin
So let yourself in

Rendezvous
Take your phone off silent while I FaceTime you
Rock (with me) with me
You could be my everythin', that's on everythin'

Turn around, I'm tryna see behind that (oh, tryna see behind)
Yeah, you know just how I like that
Rendezvous
Come slide through

Slide through, oh
Slide through, oh
Oh
