About This Track

'Intention' finds Kiiara in a state of fractured communication, caught between the noise of someone else's words and the weight of her own silence. The track moves through scenes of disconnection: blood on streets, ghosts in the air, dust on the ground. She sits mute whilst others talk loud, waiting for explanations that never arrive, hesitating to trust even when someone tries to fix what's broken. The song's architecture is built on repetition and restraint. The chorus strips everything back to its core refrain, a mantra of disavowal that accumulates force through sheer insistence. Kiiara's delivery sits low in the mix, intimate and resigned, letting the production breathe around her rather than fighting for space. The result is a track that feels less like a declaration and more like an admission: that harm was done, that it was never meant, and that the gap between intention and impact may be too wide to cross.
