About This Track

Liam reflects on his own stubbornness, the refusal to bend to others' expectations that has defined his public life. The song moves at a measured pace, heavy with the weight of that self-knowledge. He sings of being "bold", of not doing what he was told, a posture that sits somewhere between defiance and resignation. The production is restrained, letting the lyric and vocal sit in the foreground without the kind of swagger or aggression you might expect from him. A Dork two-star record.
