About This Track

'Star' arrives as a response to the global support Loona received, cast here as an English-language rendition of an earlier track. The song trades in the vocabulary of devotion and sleeplessness, its narrator caught between the desire to possess someone entirely and the knowledge that such closeness carries risk. The chorus pivots on a simple image: two people shining together against the approaching dawn, inseparable and all-consuming. What emerges is less a love song than an admission of obsession. The lyrics cycle through the same anxious refrain, the speaker losing her grip on reason, unable to deny the pull of another person. There is urgency here, a sense that something perfect and fragile might slip away if not held tightly enough.
