About This Track

A flirtation that courts consequence. Bei Maejor builds 'Trouble' around a simple, insistent warning: certain choices, certain looks, certain ways of moving will lead somewhere neither party can easily walk back from. The hook repeats like a mantra, each iteration tightening the tension between desire and restraint. J. Cole enters as the voice of temptation itself, speaking plainly about attraction and infidelity. His verses cut through Maejor's sung setup with a rapper's directness, naming the contradiction at the song's heart: the pull of wanting something you've already decided against. The production holds space for both registers to work, neither overwhelming the other.
