'Blue Lines' by Massive Attack is a 1991 track from the album 'Blue Lines'. The lyrics sketch a late-night kind of temptation, with a speaker trying to stay close to desire while insisting on distance, even as the song says they “slide the instrumental”. In the verse, the images are intimate and slightly detached at once, moving between talk of affection, cigarette smoke, and the physical comfort of touch, then drifting away into a more indifferent, groove-led mode.
"Blue Lines" is a track by Massive Attack, from the album Blue Lines, released 8th April 1991. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 9 articles about Massive Attack.
