The eleventh track from 'Hotel Diablo' finds mgk addressing his reliance on prescription medication, the 'candy' of the title standing in for pills used to manage the pressure of fame. The chorus cycles through references to stimulants and self-medication, whilst the post-chorus refrain acknowledges the toll: mgk describes being caught in his own head, taking more medicine, the damage accumulating. The production leans into emo rap with electric guitar accents and a trap beat, the vocal melody catchy and radio-ready. Fellow Ohio rapper Trippie Redd handles the intro and second verse, his contribution more playful in tone, the contrast sharpening the track's central unease.
