Snoop Dogg has been announced as host of the 2026 MTV VMAs
Snoop Dogg will host and executive produce this year’s MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.

The sixth track on Nirvana's second album Nevermind, released by DGC Records in September 1991, 'Polly' is built around an acoustic guitar and Kurt Cobain's quiet, almost conversational delivery. The song addresses the abduction, rape, and torture of a 14-year-old girl, a real incident Cobain read about in the newspaper. He chose to sing from the criminal's perspective, a decision that renders the lyric deeply unsettling: the torturer's voice is flat, almost bored, the violence matter-of-fact.
The restraint of the arrangement throws the content into sharper relief. Where much of Nevermind detonates, 'Polly' sits still, the horror embedded in the plainness of the language and the steadiness of the tempo. It remains one of the band's most morally complex tracks, a song that refuses to comfort or distance the listener from the subject it describes.
