About This Track
Offonoff's 'Cigarette' frames romantic devotion as a kind of consumption. The track opens with Miso's repeated invocation of a "glimpse of heaven" before settling into a portrait of intoxication and desire: wine, sleeplessness, the fog of attraction. The central metaphor is straightforward and sustained. To be someone's cigarette is to be lit up, to provide warmth and light, to be drawn on and exhaled into the air. It is also, inevitably, to burn out. Tablo's verse deepens the conceit with precision. He traces the moment of ignition, the spark between two people, then pivots to the darker mathematics of the image: love burns bright but quick, it may sicken you but you cannot quit it. Offonoff's own contribution leans into addiction, the desire to be wanted so completely that absence becomes unbearable. Miso and Offonoff trade the chorus in unison, their voices stacked and pleading, asking to be indispensable, to be the last cigarette, the final comfort before the end.
