About This Track

Released on Christmas Eve 2018 as the lead single from 'Hollywood's Bleeding', 'Wow.' arrived as Post Malone's first solo release following the collaborative 'Sunflower'. The track reached number two on the US charts during the week ending 6 April 2019, carried by its unhurried tempo and the artist's signature melodic drawl over a minimal, bass-heavy production.

The lyrics catalogue the trappings of sudden wealth with a mixture of vindication and detachment. Post Malone namechecks luxury cars, designer vehicles in unlikely climates, and the shift in attention that accompanied commercial success. References to his debut 'Stoney' and the congratulations that followed frame the song as a reckoning with fair-weather interest, the chorus built around the reaction his arrival now commands.
