'Risen' by Rolo Tomassi is a 2018 Hard Rock track from the album 'Time Will Die and Love Will Bury It'. The lyrics circle a fierce yearning that turns inward, then outward again, as longing becomes something that overwhelms and steadies at once. Lines such as “Reaching towards dawn” frame a movement from being pierced by desire to finding a kind of consoled acceptance, with the singer trying to forgive without. The emotional register is urgent, but it keeps dragging its feet towards gentleness, even as it refuses to sound remotely calm.

About the Artist
Lyrics
That piercing longing Coarse within When all that's yearned comes to... Rising up before I knew Reaching towards dawn Consoled and consumed Whisper transpire Into gentle reminders It's not something I sought to seek And then it knocked the breath from me To forgive without endeavour Untainted and tender The love we dreamed of The love we dreamed of The love we dreamed of The love we dreamed of
