Rosé confirms new Blackpink music is coming, reflects on Bruno Mars collaboration
Blackpink's Rosé announces upcoming group music while reflecting on her solo collaboration with Bruno Mars and mental health advocacy.
About This Track
The lead single from ROSÉ's debut studio album 'rosie', released in October 2024 through The Black Label and Atlantic Records. The track pairs the New Zealand and South Korean singer with Bruno Mars, his second collaboration of the year.
The song takes its title and central chant from a South Korean drinking game called the apartment game, 'APT' being a romanised abbreviation of the Korean term for apartment. ROSÉ has explained that the idea emerged whilst joking around in the studio, the game's rhythmic call-and-response forming the hook. The lyrics toggle between English and Korean, building a scenario of digital flirtation made physical: 'Kissy face, kissy face / Sent to your phone but / I'm trying to kiss your lips for real.'
The production leans into the game's percussive energy, turning the apartment itself into a club space where the invitation is to 'drink, dance, smoke, freak, party all night'. The repetition of the chant anchors the chorus, a playful insistence that collapses the distance between screen and skin.
"APT." is a track by ROSÉ, from the album rosie, released 6th December 2024. The track is 2:50 long. It's filed under Pop. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 5 articles about ROSÉ.
