Lyrics

Bare Minimum

[Verse]

Building airplanes

Out of the bare minimum

Give me what I need

When you’re doing the least

I’ll make an ocean

Out of a cheap aquarium

Your two dollar ring’s

Turning my finger green

[Verse]

I did a good thing

At least I thought that’s what it was

Make breakfast in bed

While you were wishing I left

I should have keyed your car

I should have raised my bar

I didn’t like you that much

So why did I try so hard?

[Chorus]

I just wanna be in love

I just wanna be in love

I just wanna be in love

Feel it filling up my lungs

Only thing there ever was

I just wanna be in love

[Verse]

Carrie’s getting married

Just got hеr college degree

Wе planned it when we were four

But we don’t talk anymore

What I’ve had doesn’t remind me of death

So why am I still looking back

When I want more than my past

[Verse]

Still I’ll practice what I’ll say

Write it down on paper

Insist that I could convince you

I could be your savior

Psychosomatic, feel the ache

I wait ‘til seven hours later

Text me back and it’ll feel like a favor, no

[Chorus]

I just wanna be in love

I just wanna be in love

I just wanna be in love

Feel it filling up my lungs

Only thing there ever was

I just wanna be in love

Wanna kiss ‘til I can’t breathe

Want someone out of my league

I just wanna be in love

Feel it filling up my lungs

Only thing there ever was

I just wanna be in love

I just wanna be in love
