About This Track

'22' frames the French police unit of the same number through the eyes of those who encounter it on the street. Nekfeu and his S-Crew collaborators build the track around a propulsive refrain that names the unit alongside the colloquial terms for law enforcement, cycling through perspectives on confrontation, arrest, and the asymmetry of power that shapes those interactions. The production, credited to Hugz, sits tight and urgent beneath the verses. The song draws its force from testimony. Nekfeu speaks directly to lived experience, positioning the track as witness rather than polemic. Where the verses from 2zer and Framal catalogue the presence of various figures in the street, dealers, lookouts, police, informants, Nekfeu's own contribution anchors the song in personal encounter and observation. The refrain's repetition of the unit number becomes both naming and incantation, a way of marking the omnipresence of that authority in the spaces the song describes.

[Paroles de "22"]

[Intro : Nekfeu]

Eh

[Refrain : Nekfeu]

Talonnade 22, appelez l'baveux, hors-la-loi inquiet (Brr, ouais)

Oh-la-la (Oh-la-la, oh-la-la), oh-la-la, 22 (Oh-la-la, 22)

Oh-la-la, 22, voilà les Batman, voilà les baqueux

[Couplet 1 : 2zer]

Pour t'traiter d'égal à d'égal (Oh my gad), ils peuvent t'allumer, ouais, c'est légal (Twenty-two)

[Couplet 2 : Framal]

[Refrain : Nekfeu]

Oh-la-la, 22, voilà les Batman, voilà les baqueux

[Couplet 3 : Mekra & Nekfeu]
