About This Track

'West' by Saintè is a 2021 UK Hip-Hop track from the album 'Out the Blue'. Across its bridge and hook, the lyrics revolve around being away for a couple of days, chasing money, and returning quickly, all with a flirtatious edge and an insistence that the other person has what they want. The speaker is assertive, presenting a tight, self-assured rhythm of arrival and reassurance, even while acknowledging the irritation of being kept in their face, then left, then coming back.

"West" is a track by Saintè, from the album Out the Blue, released 14th October 2021. The track is 2:31 long. It's filed under UK Hip-Hop. Full lyrics are available below.

Lyrics

West

[Bridge]

It's been a couple days away, I'm tryna get paid

I'm all in your face, you hate, when I leave the crib

But baby girl wait, I'm heading right back

I know what you want some what

The money in bunch, I'm 'cheffing I'm cooking you lunch but why can't you see I'm all you need

[Hook]

Yeah, just have a little faith in me

Just have a little faith in me you'll see

Yeah, have a little faith in me

Just have a little faith in me

[Verse 1]

We stay out for dinner that's two for the liver

I swear that's a killer I'll pay for your ride

I'll take you to mine

I'll show you the flavours of wine

I'll play you some Ginuwine

Or maybe some Sade

You tryna get nasty

I'll take you to west got me flexing like Kanye

But we do it our way

Got up for the art play

Yeah, right

[Hook]

Just have a little faith in me

Just have a little faith in me you'll see

Yeah, look what you've done

Look what you've done

Look what you've done to me

[Verse 2]

And you want a jigga that's getting you figures

That sound like Sainte

What can I say

I just been riding a wave

That tries to make you feel the way

That's home and away and I flex by the lay

You tryna listen to Drake, I wanna know 'bout your day

The smile on your face that pray on you never waste

I'm tryna take you to a place

Wait yeah, I wanna know how you feel? are you being for real?

I wanna know if you're the deal, it's more than an internet reel

I'm tryna be big like Shaquille

I can cover any bill I'm keeping it trill

Money making for the will, money making say for real

[Bridge]

It's been couple days away I'm tryna get paid

I'm all in your face you hate when I leave the crib but

Baby go wait I'm heading right back

I know what you want some what the money in bunch

I'm 'cheffing I'm cooking you lunch but why can't you see I'm all you need

[Hook]

Yeah, just have a little faith in me

Just have a little faith in me you'll see

Yeah, look what you've done

Just have a little faith in me

Just have a little faith in me you'll see

[Outro]

I'm heading right back

I'm heading right back

Yeah
