About This Track

'Redlights' by Salem is an alternative track from the album 'Water', released in 2008. The lyrics circle a strained attempt to hold onto memory, running through what was done “last November” and what remains undone, before turning to the ease of letting go and saying goodbye. It feels like a recollection that keeps slipping, with the repeated insistence on being unable to remember and unable to forget. The mood is reflective, but edged with resignation. The vocal stance keeps returning to the same emotional problem, as if the only certainty is the act of moving on.

"Redlights" is a track by Salem, from the album Water, released 11th August 2008. The track is 3:34 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below.

Lyrics

Redlights

It's hard to remember
What we did last November
It's hard to forget
What we haven't done yet

It's hard to remember
What we did last November
It's hard to forget
What we haven't done yet

It's easy to let go
Of everything you know
And say goodbye
To all those guys

It's hard to remember
What we did last November
It's hard to forget
What we haven't done yet

It's hard to remember
What we did last November
It's hard to forget
What we haven't done yet

It's easy to let go
Of everything you know
And say goodbye
To all those guys
