About This Track

Seafret's 'Wildfire' casts romantic intensity as an uncontrollable force. The narrator finds himself caught between knowing and being wrong, between deliberation and sudden combustion. She is the spark; he is the fuel. The song builds its central metaphor with steady pressure, each verse deepening the sense of a love that cannot be reasoned with or designed, only surrendered to. The chorus locks into a simple, repeating structure: bound, torn apart, burning. There is no resolution offered, only acceptance of the breaking loose. The track sustains this tension across its three-and-a-half minutes without resolution, the flames held at their brightest rather than allowed to cool or consume entirely. It is a love song built on the premise that some feelings resist description altogether.

"Wildfire" is a track by Seafret, from the album Tell Me It’s Real, released 27th November 2015. Full lyrics are available below.

Lyrics

Wildfire

[Verse 1]

You think you know all about it, then it seems you are wrong

She hit it out of the park before it had even begun

I needed sunshine in the darkness burning out

Well now I know that I'm the fuel and she's the spark

[Chorus]

We are bound to each other's hearts

Caught, torn and pulled apart

This love is like wildfire

And to my word now I'll be true

I can't stop this breaking loose

This love is like wildfire

Like wildfire

[Verse 2]

As feelings arrange deep down inside

Try describing a love you can't design

More and more, every inch of me is holding on

This is it, all the flames are burning strong

[Chorus]

We are bound to each other's hearts

Caught, torn and pulled apart

This love is like wildfire

And to my word now I'll be true

I can't stop this breaking loose

This love, is like wildfire

Like wildfire

Like wildfire

[Bridge]

You think you know all about it, then it seems you are wrong

She hit it out of the park before it had even begun

Oh

[Chorus]

We are bound to each other's hearts

Caught, torn and pulled apart

This love, is like wildfire

And to my word now I'll be true

I can't stop this breaking loose

This love, is like wildfire

Like wildfire

Like wildfire

[Outro]

Like wildfire
