I've come for good reason

Cause you and I were friends

Went everywhere without trouble

But it was God’s will

That this morning people

Should say that you were dead

But we were famous

And used to walk together

And all men knew it

And God came to take you

So I said to myself

I will bring the glass of beer

Thus we used to do

For everyone to see

So I brought along this beer

To give you to drink

Have a good journey

May nothing trouble you

And this clock, take it

If you wanna go anywhere

A clock always rings at dawn

And you'll get up too

Every man who sets off

Takes a clock with him

When you reach your house

Greet all your people warm

Go ahead strong now

And I will follow you

Whether someone killed you

'Cause you and I were friends

How that made people angry

I will never understand

And these 20 dollars

I throw them to the fish

So you can cross the river

Take this arrow, shoot the witch

Take it along with you

For defense or revenge

And as for the beer and the clock

If there is anyone

Who will be to me as near

Let him take the clock

The arrow and the beer

Let me drink and weep
