About This Track

'Telephone' sits at the centre of a collaborative project that brings together multiple voices over production from Sick Luke. The track pivots on a central complaint: the phone rings when you don't want it to, a metaphor for unwanted attention and the noise of people who don't matter. tha Supreme's chorus circles back to this idea with a kind of weary resignation, the repetition itself becoming a form of exhaustion. The verses from tha Supreme and Capo Plaza trade in the language of street credibility and material excess, but with a particular sharpness about fakeness. There's a dismissal of those who talk without substance, who follow trends rather than trust their own instinct. The production sits spare enough to let the words land, each boast undercut by a glance at those who won't last, who'll end up alone. It's a song about filtering, about who deserves your time and who doesn't, wrapped in the vernacular of Italian rap.

"TELEPHONE" is a track by Slait, from the album BV3, released 2nd October 2020. Full lyrics are available below.

TELEPHONE

[Testo di "TELEPHONE" ft. Capo Plaza & Sick Luke]

[Intro]

Cut that bitch off

Mob

Young Miles

tha Supreme

Sick Luke, Sick Luke

Yeah-eah

[Ritornello: tha Supreme]

Yeah, io non ci sto più male

Per bitches, per frate', ehi

Resti sempre uguale

[Strofa 1: tha Supreme]

Big dream, nella tasca col cash

Bimbi non sanno di cosa

Cosa parlare, ma di sparlare

Prima o poi, frate', saranno soli, yah

Skinny, troppo skinny quel blunt

R.I.P. mic', lo killo ad ogni track

Siete tristi, siete solo tristi

[Ritornello: tha Supreme & Capo Plaza]

Yeah, io non ci sto più male

Per bitches, per frate', ehi

Resti sempre uguale

[Strofa 2: Capo Plaza & tha Supreme]

Non voglio stare male (Non voglio stare male)

Baby, oro tipo colata

Ora sto in alto, fra', Concorde
