About This Track

‘Kill Again’ by Slayer is a 1985 track from the album ‘Hell Awaits’. The lyrics paint a predatory, violent fantasy, with a speaker fixated on hunting victims and returning to the act again and again, cutting through the fog with “Kill and kill again”. There is a sense of frantic compulsion throughout, moving from lurking menace in the verses to a blunt, repetitive instruction in the chorus. The final lines keep the threat pointed and immediate, as the speaker vows to pursue their target.

"Kill Again" is a track by Slayer, from the album Hell Awaits , released 8th April 1985. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 1 article about Slayer.

Lyrics

Kill Again

[Verse 1]

Lurking in the dismal fog

Hungry for your blood

Seeking harmless victims

Satisfy my needs

Schizophrenic lunatic

Uncontrolled desire

Rape and ravage lady fair

Pledged to die

[Chorus]

No apparent motive

Kill and kill again

Survive my brutal thrashing

I'll hunt you 'til the end

My life's a constant battle

The rage of many men

Homicidal maniac

[Verse 2]

Trapped in mortal solitude

Lift the gleaming blade

Slice her flesh to shreds

Watch the blood flow free

Hatred growing stronger

None survive my wrath

Suffer from the throbbing pain

Yield your life to me

[Chorus]

No apparent motive

Kill and kill again

Survive my brutal thrashing

I'll hunt you 'til the end

My life's a constant battle

The rage of many men

Homicidal maniac

[Guitar Solo: Kerry King]

[Guitar Solo: Jeff Hanneman]

Ah!

[Verse 3]

Kill the preacher's only son

Watch the infant die

Bodily dismemberment

Drink the purest blood

Unrelenting need to kill

Death upon you now

Anxiously awaiting

Next in line

[Chorus]

No apparent motive

Kill and kill again

Survive my brutal thrashing

I'll hunt you 'til the end

My life's a constant battle

The rage of many men

Homicidal maniac

[Outro]

Kill again
