Lyrics

Axis

Every time you ask for more
You open up to be shamed and disowned
And the ones who rule your life
Do believe that our time is still marked?

Unashamed, they all parade
Asking to be at the top of the chain
And if you call out their fraud
They will break you down, and blame the last one in charge

Chasing what's bright
Who'll take the biggest bite?
Winners take what they want
Soulless delight
I know the fire is burning
The fire is burning

Stronger than all
Let it get under your skin and find who you really are
We need to stand side by side
Before we fade away, before we fade away
For the lies will never end
Break out from indifference and see that ghost isn't who you are
Leaving the tame for the wild
You are a part of us, you are a part of us
But the time is on their side

Red or blue, they're all the same
Pointing the fingers of others to blame
But they share the same disdain
For the ones who just survive one day at a time

Chasing what's bright
Who'll take the biggest bite?
Winners take what they want
Soulless delight
I see the fire is burning
The fire is burning

Stronger than all
Let it get under your skin and find who you really are
We need to stand side by side
Before we fade away, before we fade away
For the lies will never end
Break out from indifference and see that ghost isn't who you are
Leaving the tame for the wild
You are a part of us, you are a part of us
But the time is on their side
