About This Track

'Waxwing' by Sorry is an alternative track from the album 'COSPLAY', released in 2025. The lyrics court a breathless, romantic intensity, with the narrator treating their partner as a source of wild love, dreams, and unsteady desire, then letting the seasons blur into sensation, “The autumns kicking up”. The song’s attitude is playful but insistent, culminating in a casual address that hints at familiarity and shared myth-making.

"Waxwing" is a single by Sorry, from the album COSPLAY, released 11th August 2025. The track is 3:35 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 20 articles about Sorry.

Lyrics

Waxwing

You’re my wild love
You’ve got wild ideas
You’re in my wild dreams
You got that wild heart
If I had one shot
I would shoot at you
But I’d miss your heart
Because I love you so
The autumns kicking up
The summer was all rain
I love the way you smile
love the way you…
Oh Mickey you’re so fine
Wanna take you back to mine
Oh Mickey you’re so fine
I’ll stay up late to make you mine
Oh Mickey you’re so fine
Wanna take you back to mine
Oh Mickey you’re so fine
I’ll stay up late to make you mine
You’re the words I wait
You’re the drunk mistake
You’re no mistake at all
You’re the fucking fall
You’re the lightest day
You’re the highest flame
You’re the drugs I take
Fuck your girlfriend
Maybe you’re desire
Maybe you’re the bomb
You make all of my money
Cause you make all my songs
Oh Mickey you’re so fine
Wanna take you back to mine
Ugh Oh Mickey you’re so fine
I’ll stay up late to make you mine
Oh Mickey you’re so fine
(Hey Mickey you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind, Hey Mickey)
Wanna take you back to mine
Oh Mickey you’re so fine
(Hey Mickey you’re so fine, take my body and my mind, Hey Mickey)
I’ll stay up late to make you mine
(Mickey I’ll find you, find you in the end)
You’re the clandestine
(Drunked I love you, low descend)
Of the waxwing slain
You’re coming out from a dream
(In my past life, think I look like you)
Saying i’m in cellophane
Saying all these wild words
(In my past life, think you look like me)
You’re the sky I curse
(Mickey I’ll find you, find you in the end)
You’re the fucking worst
(Mickey I’ll find you, find you even when)
You never make no sense
Maybe you’re desire
Maybe you’re the bomb
You make all of my money
Cause you make all my songs
So fine
Oh Mickey
Your so
Stay up late
(Hey Mickey you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind, Hey Mickey)
Mickey I’ll find you, find you in the end
Mickey I’ll find you find you even when

Are you ready for a new favourite band? North London's Sorry are low-key cult faves with an immense banger-ratio, and a stonking debut album.
