About This Track

'Heavy' by Sprints is a 2024 alternative track from the album 'Letter to Self'. The lyrics push a fast, direct resolve, repeating the insistence to say something quickly and make it stick, over a brisk count that keeps time like a checklist. The tone feels purposeful and impatient, with a quick-fire sense of momentum rather than reflection. The song’s hooky, percussive vocal phrasing is built around the repeated numbers, turning urgency into a chant-like structure.

"Heavy" is a track by Sprints, from the album Letter to Self, released 5th January 2024. The track is 3:27 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 20 articles about Sprints.

Lyrics

Heavy

I've a simple idea, I'm going to make it stick
I wanna say this fast, I wanna do this quick
It goes one, two, three, it goes one, two, three
I've got a simple idea, I'm going to make it stick
I wanna say this fast, I wanna do this quick
It goes one, two, three, it goes one, two, three

Do you ever feel like the room is heavy?
Do you ever feel like the room is heavy?
Do you ever feel like the room is heavy?
Do you ever feel like the room is heavy?
Like the air is hot, and the air is sweaty?
Do you ever feel like the room is heavy?

And I can't sleep
And I can barely breathe
And I'm watching the world go around the window beside me

I've got a simple idea, I'm going to make it stick
I wanna say this fast, I wanna do this quick
It goes one, two, three, it goes one, two, three

Do you ever feel like the room is heavy?
Do you ever feel like the room is heavy?
Do you ever feel like the room is heavy?
Do you ever feel like the room is heavy?
Like the air is hot and the air is sweaty
Do you ever feel like the room is heavy?

And I can't sleep
And I can barely breathe
And I'm watching the world go around the window beside me

And I can't sleep
And I can't sleep
And I can't sleep
And I can't sleep
And I can't sleep
And I can't sleep
And I can't sleep
And I can't sleep
Now I can't

I'm watching the world go around the window beside me
I've got a simple idea, I'm going to make it stick
I wanna say this fast, I wanna do this quick
It goes one, two, three, it goes one, two, three
I've got a simple idea, I'm going to make it stick
I wanna say this fast, I wanna do this quick
It goes one, two, three, it goes
