About This Track
'Indian Strings' by Suede is a 1999 track from 'Head Music'. The lyrics move between an intimate, confessional plea to be understood, and a darker turn as images of violence fill the mind. Over both verses, the singer insists that their heart is broken in two, framing the relationship between inward perception and outward shock. One short line, “Open up my heart”, sets the confessional tone before the second verse shifts the atmosphere towards silence and mental disturbance.
"Indian Strings" is a track by Suede, from the album Head Music, released 3rd May 1999. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 7 articles about Suede.
