You’ve burnt your fingers, burnt your bridges I see

You’ll burn another before you’re through with me

I don’t know what you expect me to say

My sense of empathy has long gone astray

Too much revealed you tumbled down from your height

An enigmatic force pushed into the light

This ain’t my own dissatisfaction tonight

Picking up the pieces of a long lost fight
