About This Track

'Cactus' by Teleman is an alternative track from the album 'Family of Aliens' (2018). The lyrics watch someone pose for the moment, then slip out of reach as time moves on, with the singer pleading for presence, “second hand’s ticking”. There’s a sense of relationship drift and anxious control, as the narrator turns to steering and togetherness, only to question whether the other person is truly there.

"Cactus" is a track by Teleman, from the album Family of Aliens, released 2nd September 2018. The track is 4:53 long. It's filed under Alternative. Full lyrics are available below. Dork has published 1 article about Teleman.

Lyrics

Cactus

Hey, you look good in a flashbulb light
Hey, you were young and free
Yeah, but the second hand's ticking, do you
Feel you belong to me?

Hey, you are drifting away from me
Yeah put your hands on the wheel
Oh, we could walk together, but do you
Feel like you're even here?

What's the point in looking good
If no one ever gets near you

Yeah, can we pin this feeling down
It seems like the record stopped
It's just like a hundred parties ended
When you can't get the thing you want

There's no point in looking good
If no one ever gets near you, yeah

Hey, you are drifting away from me
Yeah, put your hands on the wheel
Oh, we could walk together, but do you
Feel like you're even here?

Hey, you look good in a flashbulb light
Hey, you were young and free
Yeah, but the second hand's ticking, don't you
Feel you belong to me?

'Cause I do
And I do
I do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do, do
I do

There's no the point in looking good
If no one ever gets near you

Yeah
Standing there forever
Yeah
Cactus in the desert
Please
Push the spikes in deep
Someone's gonna set you free

Standing there forever
Yeah
Cactus in the desert
Please
Push the spikes in deep
The pain is gonna set you free
