About This Track

'Flieg' finds Ufo361 in isolation, nursing grievances and cannabis in equal measure. The track opens with a simple imperative, fly, and the rapper takes it as licence to drift upward, away from betrayal and false friendship. He moves through the verses with a kind of weary defiance, cataloguing disappointment alongside the rituals of escape: joints, gin, the weight of being misunderstood. The hook circles back to the same image, him airborne above the city, smoke thick enough to blur the ground below. What emerges is less a celebration of intoxication than a portrait of someone using it as ballast against loneliness. Ufo361 raps with a flatness that suits the subject, no melodrama, just the accumulated small resentments of someone who has decided to make it alone. The production holds steady beneath him, letting the voice and the repetition do the work. It is a track about escape that never quite suggests escape is possible, only that the attempt is necessary.

"Flieg" is a track by Ufo361, from the album Ich bin 2 Berliner , released 30th September 2016. Full lyrics are available below.

Flieg

[Songtext zu „Flieg“]

[Intro]

Ihr wisst Bescheid

U-F-O-3-6-1, ja, 361

Flieg!

Jap, ich, jap, ich flieg'

Ja, ich flieg', ah, ah, ah

[Part 1]

Hab' keinen Freund, Dicka, niemand

Zieh', zieh', zieh', zieh' dran

Zieh', zieh', zieh', zieh' dran

Zieh' dran

[Hook]

Jap, ich flieg' über die Stadt

Jap, ich flieg' über die Stadt

Rauch' mein Weed, wieder zu straff, oh

Jap, ich flieg' über die Stadt

Jap, ich flieg' über die Stadt

Rauch' mein Weed, wieder zu straff, oh

[Outro]

Flieg'
