About This Track

Whethan teams with Flux Pavilion and MAX on 'Savage', a track about being utterly disarmed by attraction. MAX's vocal traces the familiar arc of infatuation: the subject has him running in circles, losing his balance, unable to resist. The song builds its appeal on a simple, repeating hook that hammers home the central conceit, each repetition of "pardon my manners" a small surrender to overwhelming desire. The production sits somewhere between pop sensibility and electronic muscle, the kind of track designed to lodge itself in your head through sheer insistence.
