Yeat’s new seven-track pack ‘COCOON’ is out now, including his Drake collaboration ‘MISS MY DAWG’.
About This Track
'Doublë' rides a hard 808 bassline into a chorus built for repetition and momentum. Yeat stacks the hook with material excess, luxury cars, diamonds, designer labels, delivered in a cadence that prioritises rhythm over narrative clarity. The track moves fast, the vocal melody catchy and insistent, a formula that lets the production and the sheer velocity of the delivery do most of the work. The verse deepens into something murkier. Yeat adopts the voice of someone chemically altered and philosophically adrift, rapping about prescription drugs and a detachment from the world around him. There's a tension between the boastful surface and the underlying disorientation; he admits to confusion and losing his grip on reality, even as he asserts dominance over money and status. It's a familiar register for the artist, but the contradiction gives the track a texture beyond the obvious flex.
"Doublë" is a track by Yeat, from the album 2 Alivë, released 18th February 2022. Full lyrics are available below.
