A title saved years earlier gave Ten Tonnes the starting point for a song shaped by 1950s and early-60s songwriting, a Joe Meek production reference and deliberate arrangement choices.

Released in 2021 after a pause following his debut, Ten Tonnes’ four-track ‘So Long’ EP found Ethan Barnett working with renewed autonomy, a home-studio process and a fresh creative brief.
