Beth Orton has shared new song 'Otherside', the latest preview of her upcoming album 'The Ground Above', due for release on 26th June via Partisan.
The track arrives alongside a live performance video directed by Iain and Jane Pollard and Joseph Lynn, which also introduces some of the musicians who appear on the record.
Speaking about the song, Orton says: "With 'Otherside,' what began as a not so simple tale of sleeplessness went on to have me turning over bigger themes, those of resilience in the face of loss, what freedom means to the individual and the collective; the ability to start again and make beautiful a life when it has been torn apart."
'The Ground Above' follows 2022's 'Weather Alive' and was self-produced by Orton. The album features contributions from musicians including Shahzad Ismaily, Sam Beste, Chris Vatalaro, Vishal Nayak, Paul Butler, Christos Stylianides, Tom Herbert and Dave Okumu.
Alongside the new single, Orton has announced a run of UK record store performances around the album's release before heading out on a wider UK and North American headline tour later this year.
