Julia Cumming has shared a video 'Fucking Closure', taken from her just dropped debut solo album
Nick Zinner features on guitar as solo live dates begin next week.

Sunflower Bean frontwoman Julia Cumming has shared 'Fucking Closure', the latest single lifted from her solo debut 'Julia', which is available now via Partisan Records. The track arrives with an accompanying video directed by Sophia Feurer.
With guitar contributions from Nick Zinner, the song explores the emotional contradictions that surface during a breakup, weaving confessional writing through a slow-burning arrangement.
Speaking about the track, Cumming says, "Getting closure always seems like the good idea, but sometimes the good idea isn't what you actually want. Sometimes you just want the person back, all of them, their worst and their best. You miss when you shared in each other's problems, and no amount of growth can change that wanting. Closure sets you free, but also solidifies what is gone."
On the visual accompaniment, she adds, "I've always loved how in "Cool" by Gwen Stefani, you can feel the melancholy seeping from it. The music and video come together to tell a story that contains so much more longing than the lyrics alone. I wanted to use that as inspiration, and to include all these sweet moments so the love could still really be felt, not just the ending. I reached out to Sophie Feurer, who I previously worked with on Sunflower Bean's "Nothing Romantic," because she has a gift in storytelling, and making a music video feel like cinema."
Cumming recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she delivered a performance of 'My Life' in what marked her international television debut. A run of solo live dates begins next week, starting in New York City before heading to Europe.
Upcoming live dates include:
APRIL
28 Public Records, New York City, US
30 Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Los Angeles, US
MAY
12 Moth Club, London, UK
13 YES (Basement), Manchester, UK
