The Australian singer-songwriter previews the second half of his new double-album.

Ruel has shared a new single called ‘Debbie Don’t Cry’, the latest preview of forthcoming album ‘Kicking My Feet & Screaming - Part Two’.
Due for release on 12th June via Giant Music, the second half of Ruel’s sophomore double album follows recent singles ‘Hate Myself’ and ‘Don’t Say That’.
“I’ve been dropping hints about the track for ages and now Debbie is finally here!” Ruel says. “Making this song started off as a kinda joke on a writing trip. Me and the other writers got back to the house pretty late at night (maybe a little buzzed) and started messing around.”
He continues: “Skip to the next day and Debbie was finished. It became an instant favourite of that writing trip, plus I played the guitar solo at the end which felt really good as I think I’m a pretty average guitarist, so I surprised myself!”
Created alongside collaborators including Julian Bunetta, Kenny Beats, Dan Wilson and John Ryan, ‘Kicking My Feet & Screaming - Part Two’ expands on themes introduced across the first half of the project, pushing further into love, loss and emotional unrest.
