Laufey has unveiled the video for '
Madwoman', a track from the deluxe edition of her album '
A Matter Of Time'. Directed by Warren Fu, whose previous credits include work with Dua Lipa, The 1975 and Daft Punk, the visual was shot in Los Angeles in the weeks leading up to Laufey's Coachella debut.
The video brings together a notable ensemble of Asian and Asian-American figures. Among those appearing are KATSEYE member Megan Skiendiel, Heated Rivalry's Hudson Williams, The Summer I Turned Pretty's Lola Tung, and US Olympic gold medal figure skating champion Alysa Liu.
Four additional tracks feature on the deluxe edition of 'A Matter Of Time', which is available now across streaming services and physical formats.
Discussing the project's personal significance, Laufey has said: "Growing up, I felt a general lack of representation for people who looked like me in music and media. With the 'Madwoman' video, I wanted to be that representation. The result is what honestly feels like my absolute dream video and exactly what younger Laufey would have loved to see."
In recent months, Laufey has kept busy beyond new music. Jeff Goldblum joined her on the opening night of her UK arena tour, she performed a cover of Joni Mitchell's 'Both Sides Now', and it was confirmed that she would be heading to Fortnite as the latest headline act of rhythm game Festival.
