

Anderson .Paak, born Brandon Paak Anderson on February 8, 1986, is an American rapper, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He released his debut mixtape, O.B.E. Vol. 1, in 2012, followed by his debut album, Venice, in 2014. His second album, Malibu, was released in 2016 and received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album. His third album, Oxnard, was released in 2018. At the 61st Grammy Awards, he won his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance for his 2018 non-album single 'Bubblin'. In 2020, he won two additional Grammy Awards for Best R&B Album with his fourth album Ventura, and a song from the album, 'Come Home' featuring André 3000, won Best R&B Performance. He formed the duo NxWorries in 2015 with record producer Knxwledge. He is often accompanied by the band Free Nationals, which plays various instruments and provides backing vocals. In 2021, he formed the duo Silk Sonic with singer-songwriter Bruno Mars.
