
Chance The Rapper has shared his new single, 'Child of God'
It comes as Chance and artist Naila Opiangah open a new art exhibition at Museum of Contemporary Art, also titled Child of God.
Chancelor Johnathan Bennett, born April 16, 1993, is an American rapper known professionally as Chance the Rapper. He gained recognition with his second mixtape, Acid Rap (2013), which established him as a prominent figure in Chicago hip-hop and among independent artists. His third mixtape, Coloring Book (2016), received critical acclaim and was the first streaming-only project to win the Grammy Award for Best Rap Album. Its single "No Problem" (featuring 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne) won the Grammy for Best Rap Performance. His debut album, The Big Day, was released in 2019 and peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. In 2025, he released his second album, Star Line. As a featured artist, he appeared on Kanye West's "Ultralight Beam" and DJ Khaled's chart-topping single "I'm the One." Bennett is a member of the Chicago-based collective Savemoney and serves as a lead vocalist for the band the Social Experiment. Outside of music, he has worked in television and film, including serving as a judge on the Netflix series Rhythm + Flow and as a coach on The Voice.
