Declan Benedict McKenna, born on 24 December 1998, is an English singer-songwriter. He gained recognition after winning the Glastonbury Festival's Emerging Talent Competition in 2015. McKenna's debut single, 'Brazil', was self-released in December 2015 and is a protest song criticizing FIFA and the 2014 FIFA World Cup held in Brazil. The song reached number one on Sirius XM Radio's Alt Nation Alt 18 Countdown for three weeks and peaked at number 16 on the U.S. Billboard Alternative Songs chart. His debut studio album, What Do You Think About the Car?, was released in 2017. McKenna's second album, Zeros, was released in September 2020 after multiple delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. His third album, What Happened to the Beach?, was released in February 2024.
