Ed Sheeran is an English singer-songwriter and musician born on 17 February 1991 in Halifax, West Yorkshire. He was raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, and began writing songs around the age of eleven. In early 2011, Sheeran independently released the extended play No. 5 Collaborations Project and signed with Asylum Records later that year. His debut album, + ('Plus'), was released in September 2011 and reached the top of the UK Albums Chart, featuring his first hit single, 'The A Team'.
