
SM Entertainment announces new music from aespa, EXO's Kai and more in 2025
SM Entertainment has revealed an extensive 2025 lineup including releases from aespa, Kai, Red Velvet sub-unit Irene & Seulgi and other artists across Q1-Q2.
Exo is a South Korean-Chinese boy band formed by SM Entertainment in 2011 and debuted in 2012. The group originally consisted of twelve members divided into Exo-K and Exo-M, performing in Korean and Mandarin, respectively. Members Kris, Luhan, and Tao left the group in 2014 and 2015 amid legal disputes. The remaining members include Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, and Sehun. Since 2014, Exo has performed as a single group, with their music continuing to feature multiple languages. Members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin formed the sub-unit Exo-CBX in 2016, while Sehun and Chanyeol launched the sub-unit Exo-SC in 2019. All members also pursue individual careers in music, film, and television.
