Frightened Rabbit was a Scottish indie rock band formed in Selkirk in 2003. The band was initially a solo project for vocalist and guitarist Scott Hutchison. The final lineup included Hutchison, his brother Grant Hutchison on drums, Billy Kennedy on guitar and bass, Andy Monaghan on guitar and keyboards, and Simon Liddell on guitar. Since 2004, the band was based in Glasgow. Their first studio album, 'Sing the Greys,' was released in 2006 on the independent label Hits the Fan. In 2007, the band signed to Fat Cat Records and recorded their second album, 'The Midnight Organ Fight,' released in 2008, with Andy Monaghan joining the group. Their third studio album, 'The Winter of Mixed Drinks,' was released in 2010, with Gordon Skene joining as guitarist. Later that year, Frightened Rabbit signed with Atlantic Records and released two EPs, 'A Frightened Rabbit EP' in 2011 and 'State Hospital' in 2012. Their fourth studio album, 'Pedestrian Verse,' came out in 2013 and reached number nine on the UK Albums Chart; Simon Liddell had joined the band by this time. In 2014, Hutchison, Monaghan, and Liddell recorded a self-titled album as Owl John, following Skene's departure from the band.
