Gwen Renée Stefani Shelton, born October 3, 1969, is an American singer-songwriter and fashion designer. She gained prominence as the lead vocalist of the band No Doubt, which released the album Tragic Kingdom in 1995, featuring singles such as 'Just a Girl', 'Spiderwebs', and 'Don't Speak'. 'Hollaback Girl' reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the first US download to sell one million copies. Her second solo album, The Sweet Escape, was released in 2006, with singles including 'Wind It Up' and the title track, which ranked third on the Billboard Hot 100 year-end chart of 2007. In 2016, Stefani released her third solo album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, which became her first to reach number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
