I AM THE AVALANCHE

I Am the Avalanche is an American punk rock band from Brooklyn, New York. The group's name was derived from a lyric written by Vinnie Caruana for a song that was later discarded. The phrase also appears in the poem "Oh, Immobility, Death's Vast Associate" by Stephen Dobyns, but Caruana has stated that this was a coincidence and he was unaware of the poem when naming the band.
