Melbourne artist Mia Wray’s debut album chronicles a journey from closeted uncertainty to open celebration - with a few literary companions along the way.

Mia Isobel Wray-McCann, known professionally as Mia Wray, is an Australian singer, songwriter, and musician born on 28 October 1995 in Noosa, Queensland. She was raised in Noosa before relocating to Melbourne, Victoria. Wray gained recognition after winning the 2011 edition of Telstra's Road to Discovery Program. She released two independent extended plays, Mia Wray in 2014 and Send Me Your Love in 2016. Her debut single, 'Work for Me,' was released in 2020. Wray initially performed soul, blues, and folk music before transitioning to genres such as pop and bedroom pop, while maintaining soul influences. She has toured with the Rubens, the Teskey Brothers, and Vance Joy, including on his Long Way Home Tour in 2022. In January 2021, she signed with Ivy League Records. Wray received nominations for Breakthrough Independent Artist of the Year at the 2021 AIR Awards, Best Solo Artist at the 2021 Music Victoria Awards, and placed second in the Performance category at the International Songwriting Competition.

Melbourne artist Mia Wray releases queer love song inspired by 'The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo' during her own journey of self-discovery.

Australian singer Mia has also confirmed five new European tour dates.

Set for release on 14th March, the twelve-track album explores themes of self-discovery and queer identity.

It follows on from 'Tell Her'.

She's also confirmed some live shows.

The full project is set to arrive on February 10th via Ivy League Records/The Mushroom Group.

With big, anthemic pop vibes, she's set to hit the UK this May.
