Mutual Benefit is a music project created by singer-songwriter Jordan Lee. The project has no fixed band lineup, as it consists of various musicians assembled by Lee. The debut studio album, Love's Crushing Diamond, received critical praise and was named a Band to Watch by Stereogum and designated as best new music by Pitchfork. Contributors to the album included Jake Falby on violins, George Folickman on bass, Marc Merza on electric guitar, Virginia de la Pozas, Cory Siegler, and Julie Byrne on vocals, Cameron Potter on drums, and Dillon Zahner on hand drums and percussion.
