NewDad are an Irish indie rock band from Galway, formed in 2018. The band includes Julie Dawson on vocals and guitar, Fiachra Parslow on drums, and Sean O'Dowd on guitar. During live performances, they are joined by bass guitarist Marie Freiss. Their music has been compared to the Cure, Beabadoobee, and Just Mustard. Atwood Magazine described the group as having personality, with cynical but honest lyrics, colorful visual components, and messages about coping with formative experiences. They have performed at festivals including Glastonbury, All Points East, the Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris, and Lollapalooza.
