Nicola Maria Roberts, born on 5 October 1985, is an English singer and songwriter. She was selected as a member of Girls Aloud in 2002 through the ITV reality competition show Popstars: The Rivals. The group achieved significant commercial success, with 20 consecutive UK top ten singles, including four number ones, and two UK number one albums. They released five platinum-selling studio albums and received five BRIT Award nominations, winning Best Single in 2009 for 'The Promise'. Roberts released her debut solo studio album, Cinderella's Eyes, in 2011, which reached number 17 on the UK Albums Chart. Its lead single, 'Beat of My Drum', debuted at number 27 on the UK Singles Chart. Two subsequent singles, 'Lucky Day' and 'Yo-Yo', received positive critical responses. In 2020, Roberts won the first series of ITV's The Masked Singer UK, performing as Queen Bee. She also appeared as a guest judge in the final of the show's second series in 2021.
