Rachel Lauren Stevens, born on 9 April 1978, is an English singer and actress. She was a member of the pop group S Club, which was active from 1998 to 2003 and reformed in 2023. Stevens released her debut solo album, Funky Dory, in September 2003, which reached number nine on the UK album chart and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). The album's singles included "Sweet Dreams My L.A. Ex," which peaked at number two in the UK and received a silver certification, and "Funky Dory." In July 2004, she released the single "Some Girls" as a charity record for Sport Relief; its success led to the re-issue of Funky Dory with additional tracks. Her second studio album, Come and Get It, was released in October 2005 and peaked at number 28 in the UK, with two of its three singles reaching the Top 10. After this release, Stevens took an extended break from her music career.
