
Phoenix and Clairo have shared a new version of 'After Midnight'
It's only the second time the French band have had a guest feature on a track.

Phoenix is a French band from Versailles, formed in 1995. The band’s lineup has remained unchanged since its formation and includes Thomas Mars (lead vocals, drums, percussion), Deck d'Arcy (bass, keyboards, backing vocals), Christian Mazzalai (guitar, backing vocals), and Laurent Brancowitz (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals). Thomas Hedlund has been the band's session and live drummer since 2005. Their music has been described as indie pop, synth-pop, pop rock, and new wave. They have released seven studio albums. Their fourth album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, released in 2009, features the singles '1901' and 'Lisztomania' and won a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album. The band's fifth album, Bankrupt! (2013), debuted at number 3 on the French Albums Chart and number 4 on the Billboard 200, and they headlined Coachella and Primavera Sound. Their sixth studio album, Ti Amo, released in 2017, was influenced by Italo disco and included songs that reflected the band’s European and Latin roots.
