Armando Christian Pérez, born January 15, 1981, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor known professionally as Pitbull. He began his career in the early 2000s performing in reggaeton, Latin hip-hop, and crunk styles. He signed with TVT Records and released his debut album, M.I.A.M.I., in 2004. His subsequent albums El Mariel (2006) and The Boatlift (2007) also entered the Billboard 200. His fourth album, Pitbull Starring in Rebelution (2009), included the singles "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" and "Hotel Room Service," which reached numbers two and eight on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. After shifting towards a pop-oriented sound, his sixth album, Planet Pit (2011), featured the single "Give Me Everything," which became his first Billboard Hot 100 number-one hit. His seventh album, Global Warming (2012), included the top-ten single "Feel This Moment." In 2013, he released the single "Timber" featuring Kesha, which charted in multiple countries.
