Sonny John Moore, known professionally as Skrillex, is an American DJ, record producer, singer, and musician. He was born on January 15, 1988, and was raised in Northeast Los Angeles and Northern California. Moore began his music career in 2004 as the lead vocalist of the post-hardcore band From First to Last. He recorded two studio albums with the band, Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount (2004) and Heroine (2006), before leaving in 2007 to pursue a solo career. He started touring as a solo artist in late 2007 and later recruited a new band lineup. Moore participated in the Alternative Press Tour and appeared on the cover of Alternative Press's "100 Bands You Need to Know" issue. In 2009, he released the extended play Gypsyhook. Although his debut studio album, Bells, was scheduled to be recorded with producer Noah Shain, its release was canceled. Jamie xx will headline London's inaugural LIDO Festival, performing special back-to-back sets with Skrillex and Nia Archives at Victoria Park.

Electronic producer Skrillex releases final album with OWSLA/Atlantic Records, featuring 34 tracks and multiple high-profile collaborations.

After a monumental 2023 with two albums and Madison Square Garden shows, the electronic visionary is plotting his independent future while paying tribute to his heroes.

It follows the trio's week of buzzy New York pop up shows and sold-out date at Madison Square Garden on February 18th.

A recent basement DJ set saw Skrillex tease a string of tracks likely to feature on the album.

It's all expected to lead up to Skrillex's first album since 2014's 'Recess', due to land later this year.

It's expected to be part of Skrillex's upcoming double album.

Moore explained that he had experienced the "toughest year of [his] life" in 2022.
